Materials Needed:

  1. Fabric: Soft, non-irritating fabric like cotton (old shirts, linens, or fabric scraps).
  2. Scissors
  3. Ruler or Measuring Tape
  4. Velcro Strips
  5. Sewing Machine or Needle and Thread
  6. Fabric Glue or Glue Gun
  7. Iron-On Adhesive Tape (optional)
  8. Decorative Elements (optional): Cat-safe sequins or fabric patterns.

Step by Step Instructions:

  1. Cut the Fabric:
    • Cut a 6-inch by 4-inch rectangle for the bow.
    • Cut a 2-inch by 1-inch piece for the center.
    • For the collar, cut a 2-inch wide strip, length as per your cat’s neck plus 4 inches.
  2. Create the Bow:
    • Fold the larger rectangle accordion-style, pinch in the middle.
    • Wrap the smaller piece around the center; secure with sewing, glue, or iron-on adhesive.
  3. Assemble the Collar:
    • Fold edges of the long strip inward; secure with your chosen method.
    • Attach Velcro to the ends for easy fastening.
  4. Attach Bow to Collar:
    • Sew, glue, or use adhesive to attach the bow to the collar.
  5. Safety and Finish:
    • Ensure a comfortable fit, and use safe, cat-friendly decorations.
