ADOPTED – Long Haired Grey Cat in Brooklyn NY
Hi, My name is Rocco!
Are you super chill? Me too! I am so laid back and friendly – I am more like a dog than a cat. I am only 8 and a beautiful long haired grey boy. I have been neutered and am in excellent health. I am an indoor cat and love human companionship. I am very affectionate and love to curl up beside my owner at night and purr. I double as an alarm clock – you can program me to wake you up at the right time!
I am more than a cat – I am a good friend. I met my owner when he had just moved to NYC and I was a scraggly little stray that he found on the street. We have spent many years together, during which we have both grown. I moved with him to many different apartments, and always found my safe places.
My owner loves me so much. He is devastated to have to look for a new home for me, but his work schedule as a free-lance videographer leaves him little time for me, and he has to travel for work frequently.
He is hoping to find someone wonderful to welcome me into their heart and home. I am a really good boy – clean, amicable and loving. I get along with most other cats, although I have never been around children or dogs. I would probably be fine with cat-friendly dogs and older, cat-friendly kids.
I am looking for someone who will give me a safe, happy and healthy home. I’d love some daily attention, someone to brush my gorgeous, silky coat, and a person to snuggle up to at night.
Please offer me a loving home today. I can’t wait to purr my way into your heart!

Rocco’s Current Home Environment
I live in a 3 bedroom apartment with two other roommates and another cat. The cats mostly just ignore each other. But now one roommate is pregnant so he spends most of his time in my room and its just not enough space for him.
Rocco’s Current Family:
I got Rocco 8 years ago as a stray on the street after I had just moved to NY. He has lived with me through several different apartments one of witch was a loft for the longest time and I think his favorite space because it was wide and open and had lots of high places to hide.
Rocco’s Favorite Toys, Foods, Activities?
Im a freelance video editor and I live with two roommates who are expecting a baby. I got Rocco 8 years ago as a stray on the street after I had just moved to NY. He has lived with me through several different apartments one of witch was a loft for the longest time and I think his favorite space becasue it was wide and open and had lots of high places to hide. He has been my sidekick for a long time and a great one at that but now unfortunately I have to travel constantly for work and my roommates are not capable to give him the care and affection he needs when Im not around.
Cute Rocco Story:
Every morning he curls up next to me and purrs, he’s one of the better alarm clocks I have ever had.
Also whenever I leave he pulls out one of my sweaters, curls up with it and meows until I come back.
Why is Rocco Being Rehomed?
I unfortunately now have to travel constantly for work and am becoming unable to give him the care and attention he deserves. Its very hard for me to have to re-home him but I hate having to leaving him alone, he needs and deserves attention I can no longer provide.
Rocco’s Perfect Adoptive Home Will Be:
Ideally I would love him to find him self in a loving home. Preferable a person or people experienced with cats becasue his personality can be a little tricky to read at times, especially around new people.
In the photo his coat is at full length he currently has a lion cut because his coat got matted because I was not around to maintain brushing
