Cool Cat Photo Contest

Do you have a cool cat or kitten? Whether your cat or kitten is beautiful, ugly, cute, fat, fluffy, bald, glamorous, colorful, funny, weird, or wonderful, we accept photos of all kinds of cool cats to our monthly cool cat photo contest. Send us a picture of your cat, and be sure to include lots of information about him or her, including age, sex, breed (if known), where you live, what your cat likes to do, and what your cat's purrsonality is like. Your cat could be our next "Cool Cat of the Month"!

Meet Our February Cool Cat Photo Contest
Winner for 2008!

Our family adopted Rocky before Thanksgiving. He is six months old and a wonderful companion. He loves to play and cuddle. In this picture he is playing "Hide and Seek" with our two year-old son. He also lets our son twirl him around and around on the office chair - just like a Merry-go-round. He has no intentions of getting off the chair. He just enjoys the ride! He cuddles our daughter at bedtime and likes to be by us wherever we are. He is a very special gift. We lost a beloved family cat, Zorro, a few days after Christmas last year. When we saw Rocky up for adoption he was curled up taking a nap on his back with his paw over his eyes, just like Zorro used to do. We adopted Rocky with tears in our eyes and joy in our hearts.

We'd like to say thank you to Rocky and to Krista for entering February's Cool Cat Photo Contest - There were a lot of competitors last month and competition was fierce, but this cool kitten won the hearts of viewers. Barbar really enjoys fetching hair ties. He likes to push little balls around with his nose and he like to hide under blankets. He is very sweet and follows me around every morning. He likes to watch TV sometimes, but mostly he likes to nap. He enjoys wrestling with his brother and then running into walls. He does not like hairdryers or Swiffers. He does not eat any food other than cat food, but he really enjoys smelling it all.

Barbar was left at a pet store with his brother when his mom and two other siblings were adopted. He wasn't very nice at first, but he has grown up and loves where he is now.

Schatzi Fitzgerald loves to play fetch and can go for hours of going after his favorite toy and bringing it back to you. He enjoys laying on the towel rack while people are in the bathroom. His favorite thing to do on a Saturday night is to cuddle with his brother and he is very attentive to cleaning him. Every morning he waits on top of my pillow right above my head for me to stir. He loves to have his belly rubbed and eats anything that is dropped on the floor (especially goldfish). He tips over glasses on a regular basis to drink the spilled water and runs to any faucet that has been turned on. He is terrified of the vacuum and of missing out on any fun.

I adopted him at around 2 months old and he has been a great addition to the family. He went through a very awkward stage when scraggly hair took over his entire body, but that has long since given way to his beautiful sleek long hair.

Magnum is not a breed cat, he is just a cat... a very special cat. He was found in January 2000 in new Caledonia, brought home by me son aged 12, from a school holiday camp.
He found him at the bottom of a tree, inquired all day and found out by the owners of the camps it happened often people dumped kittens knowing kids were there ...

I showed him twice at our local cat show - the first year he was second, the 2nd time he won in the section of companion cats. At the end 2002 we moved to Australia and he was OF COURSE part of the trip as well as our 3 other cats and dog. After 1 month of quarantine all the family was reunited again the 1st of January 2003... He is big boy and likes to talk, is quite independent but is always where we are not, not on our lap. One of his particularities is that he seems to say " maman " meaning mum in French. I showed him once in Australia and he received 3 titles : the friendliest cat, the best behaved cat, and the cat with the longest legs ....I have had a few cats in my life, loved them all a lot but this one is special being my son's gift I guess.

This is Mashey. This picture was taken when we first got her. She is very playful and when i leave a pen on the floor and she will toss and hit it with her paw. She is cute when she is sleeping. She loves to be right in the way. If I'm not petting her she is crying for me to or she is going 2 lay down.

I am sending you a picture of my all time favorite pet. His name is Bubba, a registered Himalayan about 10 years old. He lives in Knoxville, Tennessee. He is such a calm and happy pet, I am so happy to have him around. He makes every day a little brighter. His favorite thing to do is sleep, eat and dig on the covers like a baby. I think everyone should have some type of pet to enjoy, love and make this world better for all of us. Please enjoy his picture !!

Oceana is a Siamese/Persian mix. She is one of the most verbal cats we have ever owned. She talks to us when we get ready in the morning and talks as soon as we get in the door. Relaxing is her favorite position whether in the birdbath or on a chair. If you don’t pay attention to her while you are watching tv, she will climb into your lap and put her paws on your chest and stare at you till you acknowledge she is there.
She is quite the spoiled little girl.

This is Sylvester with Little Brady, a 100+ Golden Retriever.

This goes on all the time, and Sylvester usually starts it!

Sylvester comes, sits, stays, and even high fives right next to Little Brady. I think he things he is a dog too!

Brother and Sister, Mater & McQueen love to cuddle! Most of the time they are inseparable. They are both 1 year and 5 months old brown tiger cats. We live in Holt, MI. Mater and McQueen love to lay on their kitty condo and watch the birds outside. They also like to run around the house playing with each other, play with their toys and most of all, cuddle together! Mater is a very energetic little boy! He is always running around playing with his toys, and causing some sort of trouble! McQueen is more laid back, always watching her brother get into trouble.

Hello! My name is Pink Floyd, and I live with my mommy and daddy, Sari and Paul Boudreau, and my sister Psycho in St. Stephen, NB, Canada. I am part Manx and part Siamese, and I am six months old. In this photo, I'm just a little kitten, about four months old.

Mommy and Daddy say I'm a very special addition to their family. They lost two babies last July (the 9-year-old died of cancer, the 16-year-old died of old age). They tell me I remind them of the 16-year-old, Jazzy. She was part Siamese, and all white.

During the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, Mommy saw an ad for white kittens that were part Siamese, so she went to see me. When she picked me up, I nuzzled her just like Jazzy did the first time she picked her up, and she started crying. I came home that night.

Every night, I make sure I nuzzle Mommy for a few minutes before she goes to sleep. I help her wake up that way too! I watch TV with daddy every night, and everyone who meets me wants to steal me.

Psycho was very lonesome without her sisters, now she has me to play with. We play and cuddle, and we even bath each other.

I'm glad Mommy and Daddy picked me. I'm a very happy little boy, and they say I help fill the void left when they lost their other babies.

What can we say about Puddy Tat? Everyone that meets him thinks he has lots of personality. He is very friendly and has to know what everyone is doing. He will jump right up in your lap and check you right out. Never mean. He does the coolest little things. In these pics he is just sleeping. He sleeps with his paws behind him. If we are sitting watching t.v. or sleeping he has to curl right up close with you. He is just about a year old and we love him dearly.
