Cat Photo Contest - April, 2009
Do you have a cool cat or kitten? Whether your cat
or kitten is beautiful, ugly, cute, fat, fluffy, bald,
glamorous, colorful, funny, weird, or wonderful, we accept
photos of all kinds of cool cats to our monthly cool cat photo
contest. Send us a picture of your cat, and be sure to include
lots of information about him or her, including age, sex, breed
(if known), where you live, what your cat likes to do, and what
your cat's purrsonality is like. Your cat could be our next
"Cool Cat of the Month"!

Meet Chance, our newest Cool
Cat!
Chance was born on April 29th, 2008 and was found all alone when he was just
one day old and brought to the local fire department. I took him everywhere
I went and never left his side; bottle feeding him every 2 hours and giving
him as much love as I could. Chance will be 11 months old tomorrow (March
29, 2008). He is the happiest boy; always purrring, always playing, and
always looking at me with those "I love you mommy" eyes. He has become best
friends with my 2 older cats; siblings Donnie and Angel. When Chance was
just 3 days old, I got him a teddy bear to take the place of his lost
siblings. To this day, he still sleeps with his Teddy Bear, carries his
teddy bear around, and cleans Teddy. When I ask him "where's Teddy" - he
tilts his head and runs out of the room - about 10 minutes later he comes
running back into the room carrying teddy! I would be lost without this
little boy in my life.

We'd like to say thank you to Chance and his human, Shelley, for entering
April's Cool Cat Photo Contest - It was a really close contest, but
this adorable ginger cat won the hearts of our visitors! Do you have a cool cat? Be sure to

Mindy is a seven year old rescue cat. I have been quite blessed to have her
in my home. She is very sweet and docile as you can tell by the photographs.
Mindy and I could not choose just one picture, so we sent a wide sampling of
her work. She loves to dress up! Mindy says, "pet clothes are not just for
dogs!"

Snowball showed up at our door about 10 years ago and has moved into our
hearts. This fluffy girl shows how holy she is by attending her own church
which is located on our shed. Here she is waiting for the church bells to
ring and services to start.

This is Mai Mai. We chose her name because in Chinese, Mai means last, and
my mom said she is going to be our last pet. She is white with two black
stripes, and her favorite hobby is playing with our hamster...

This is Saph, a very surprised young kitty. We're not sure if she was
surprised or if she thinks she's being mistaken for lunch!

Michele I writes: "This is my cat George Benjamin. He is a
white and tabby harlequin with beautiful green eyes and is two years old.
George is very curious and loves to inspect cars, often ending up with oily
patches on his back. He also likes to dress up in his clothes and loves
talking to us in his cute voice!
George is also quite fond of killing birds and mice and often brings them
home to us. George is the most loving cat ever!"
